Philippa de Leonardis the Barefoot Designer
Born in Byfleet, Surrey, in South England, I grew up in a loving family, with my older sister Alexandra and my younger brother Jason. At the age of 17 we emigrated to Canada, where I went to OCA and studied design, typography, illustration, and advertising, graduating in 1986. After freelance work in various magazines I settled in retail. But the harsh winters were eventually too much for this sun loving European and In 1993 I moved to Indonesia and took up organic farming with Marco de Leonardis. I love my graphic design jobs, and they keep me busy, along with my 2 children, Luca and Gioia, and my 3 holiday villas at Taman Wana in Bali.
