Marco at his farm in Puglia, holding a bunch wild rucola!
Marco grew up in Puglia, Southern Italy, the wheat belt of Italy. Surrounded by cousins, uncles and aunts, their family gatherings and feasts were always big, noisy and always with great food. The family have been farmers for generations, primarily durham wheat growers, they have farming in the blood! Marco went to school in Rome and finished his degree in Florence. After traveling to Columbia to finish his Thesis, he discovered his love of travel, and moved to Indonesia in 1991 to set up a farm in this idyllic and fertile tropical island.
Marco is now married to Philippa, and they have two children. Marco spends his spare time between his farms in Italy and Indonesia, creating marvels in the kitchen!
